Why get fit with Retül 3D motion capture technology?
The best way to analyze a rider’s efficiency is to observe and measure the rider while he or she is pedaling the bike. Retül 3D motion capture technology simultaneously measures three planes of movement on the rider as he or she is in motion. Retül averages the rider’s pedal strokes to provide a comprehensive data set reflecting the rider’s movements. Only at this point can a bike fit expert properly evaluate changes to a rider’s position. Attempts to analyze the rider in a static position, or only in two dimensions, will not provide data at the same level of accuracy as 3D motion capture.
Can I bring multiple bikes?
Yes, multiple bikes are welcome. Many of our clients bring both their road bike and time trial bikes.

I am interested in buying a new bike. Do you offer bike fit services when I don’t have a bike yet?
Yes. We have the Retul Muve Fit Bike which is fully adjustable to accommodate most riders. We can then take the data we collect during the fit to review appropriate frames from a variety of manufacturers. Cycling shorts and cycling shoes are required to do a Muve Fit.
I have had a fit. When should I get fit again?
Cycling is a life long sport. As our bodies change, so does our bike fit. For example, significant changes in flexibility, core strength, body weight can influence your position on the bike. Over the years, I have been able to see many riders more than once for one reason or another. I find it interesting to see the change in the rider through fitness or equipment changes.
Recommended considerations for another fit:
- Pedal System
Significant Increase/Decrease in one or more of the following:
- Core Strength
- Fitness Levels
- Medical Issues
- Personal Goals
Aside form the list above, I recommend having your fit reviewed annually.
